Frequently Asked Questions
What services does Marpe Wellbeing offer?
Marpe Wellbeing is a CQC-registered private clinic offering a range of services including private GP consultations, adult and adolescent psychiatry, ADHD assessments, therapy, and medicolegal services.
Are my sessions confidential?
Yes. All consultations are strictly confidential in accordance with clinical and professional codes of conduct. There are however limited exemptions - if there is a serious risk to your life or the life of another person, we may be required to breach confidentiality in the interest of safety.
Are my consultations recorded?
Marpe Wellbeing does not routinely record consultations. If a recording is made for any reason, you will be informed in advance and your consent will be obtained.
Will my GP be informed of my appointment?
Where clinically appropriate, we may wish to share information with your GP. We will always ask for your consent before doing so. You are not obliged to give consent, however we do recommend keeping your GP informed as this supports the best possible care.
How do I prepare for my video consultation?
We recommend finding a quiet, private space free from distractions. Please ensure you have a stable internet connection and a device with a working camera and microphone. Some patients find it helpful to write down any concerns or questions they would like to raise ahead of the appointment.
What age do I need to be to use Marpe Wellbeing?
You must be at least 13 years of age to use our services. If you are under 18, parental or guardian consent will be required prior to your appointment.
Do you offer consultations in other languages?
Yes. If English is not your first language, we are able to arrange interpreter support through our Language Line service. Please note that this will incur an additional fee, as extra time is required to accommodate interpretation during the consultation. To arrange this, please email us at hello@marpewellbeing.uk prior to booking your appointment so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
Do you accept private health insurance?
Yes, we currently accept Vitality health insurance. If you hold a policy with another provider, please contact us at hello@marpewellbeing.uk and we will do our best to assist.
What are your appointment hours?
Appointments are available Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm. Some Saturday slots are available on a limited basis. Please contact us or check availability online to find a time that suits you.
How do I find the right clinician for me?
We have a team of clinicians and therapists with a range of specialisms, languages, and areas of expertise. Please browse our team profiles on the website. If you need help finding the right match, please email us at hello@marpewellbeing.uk and we will be happy to assist.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
If you need to cancel your appointment, you may do so up to 7 days before your scheduled appointment, subject to a £10 administrative fee. Cancellations made within 7 days of the appointment are not eligible for a refund. If you need to reschedule at short notice, please contact us by email as soon as possible. Please note that rescheduled appointments are non-refundable.
What happens if I miss my appointment?
